Top Player Council Thoughts
With the KC Cup approaching, the TPC have evaluated the current meta and have decided on which deck will perform best. The recent MCS XI was dominated by Amazoness and Vampires and for the fist time since their release, Fur Hires were mostly absent.
Tier 1
After a stellar showing in MCS XI, Vampires have taken the spot of Fur Hires in tier 1 making Vampires and Amazoness the current tier 1 decks. The most defining feature of these decks are their potent starter cards; when amazoness players open Loading... their hand is off to a great start, and when vampire players open Loading... or Loading... and a "vampire" card they can set up a board and plan out follow up plays.
TPC Comments:
ShinySopheon: Amazoness is the best deck right now, and I don't think many would argue against that. Their main problem in this format I feel is their speed, especially in the mirror. They will also most likely be heavily teched against/countered. That being said, I think Amazoness are still a very solid pick for the KC Cup. Vampires are a lot like REZ in the sense that they are consistent and don’t have any real hard losing matchups. They also don’t have any matchups they outright win, but they relatively fast and don’t brick often. Expect to see a lot of Vampires on the ladder.
