As you can see, the Top Player Council have collectively decided that no changes needed to be made to the current Tier List. We will also not be having a Tier List update next week due to the Holiday season.
However, last night there was an unexpected Duel Links update adding Mokuba Kaiba (Princess Adena) to the Gate as a Legary Duelist Alt-Style, and with them came support for a Rogue Tier deck, which warrants discussion.
Other Decks
A recent Nouvelles addition, Loading... , is expected to be a 3-of, as it fixes Nouvelles' overall consistency issues. It acts as extra copies of your main starter, Loading... , and allows further access to Loading... on Turn 2. It also serves as a very good target for Loading... .
Nouvelle Strengths
Kaiju package, which allows you to play into almost any board.
Card advantage, as the deck can do a lot of searching and recycling, allowing it to overwhelm opponents and grind when needed.
Loading... , which is usually the standard turn one play, often backed by Loading... . This almost guarantees survival.
Loading... , a card that functions as a starter that also field clogs, which can disable most Skills' "going second effects".
Nouvelle Weaknesses
Loading... , which shuts off Loading... , forcing you to hard open Kaijus or combo through multiple disruptions, which can be difficult.
Loading... , since the deck is very search reliant, Droll can potentially end your turn depending on your hand.
Field clogging with four monsters, which denies Loading... and can force awkward lines or prevent plays altogether, especially when the deck is mostly forced to rely on Kaijus instead of Loading... or Loading... against Blue Eyes.
We’ll see how it goes; I can see some potential for Nouvelles in the coming weeks, depending on the representation.
