Notes & Combos

Deck is absolutely fun and I think it's also future proof, all the strong traps that Konami will release in Duel Links will automatically make the deck way better. The deck is ultra versatile and there are so many ways to build this deck. It's just amazing.

VS BEWD: Playing vs BEWD is very hard and I still struggle to figure out how to play vs them, going 2nd you can destroy their true light with the Eldlich eff. But their new trap Majesty of the White Dragons makes it so hard to do anything, in most cases it's just pop 2 to 3 cards you have which makes the matchup hard. Going 1st I usually go into Gallant with 2 level 4 trap monsters and try to set Discord and hope for the best, another thing I do is go into Chengying with some backrow, all of this is depending if I already have Heavenly Prison in my starting hand or not.

VS Swordsoul: Literal free matchup, if you go first try to set Discord and make sure to have a way to negate (or preferrably destroy) Albaz on summon and you win the game. Going 2nd you just Sphere mode them or Kaiju the Chixiao and you win the game.

VS Despia & Shaddoll: Same thing as Swordsoul you if you go first you want to do your whole Gallant combo and on their turn activate Non-Fusion Area. In the Despia matchup you can also set Magic Deflector to negate Branded In Red, but the first option is better imo.

VS Utopia: Pray that you go 2nd, then gold ball them. Otherwise if you go first try to negate their RUM with Apophis the Swamp Deity and floodgate them with Stygian Dirge or pop their Utopia then they try to rank up. Otherwise going 1st vs them is pretty hard.

VS Sky Striker: Going 1st try to floodgate them with Magic Deflector. Depending on your opponent they might be able to play it through and find a way to OTK you or not.
