Notes & Combos
Running the same 30 card Dino setup as last month to hit KoG. Dinos still have consistency issues, and are still very vulnerable to certain handtraps and floodgates, but they can highroll some extremely powerful going first boards and are great at scamming out winstreaks against basically anything which makes them a fantastic ladder deck. You're not aiming to win all the time with a deck like this, just often enough to rank up with.
Not much has changed in terms of how this particular version gets played, but overall I felt like the deck had decently positive matchups against both Ancient Gears and the Odd Eyes decks. Searching the Kaiju with Small World won me a lot of games- most people were not willing to use their omninegate on the card, and due to how Small World works you only have to banish anything from hand/deck if the card resolves successfully. At worst it's a 1 for 1 trade with their most dangerous interaction.
I tried making an Onomat Exosister brew work on ladder earlier in the month but it really struggled going second and I couldn't get very far through Legend with it. Once the new Utopia support comes out later this month you should expect to see some much more powerful versions of this deck all over the ladder.
