Myutant cards are bad but eldlich skill can carry anything. This deck genuinely has a 99% win rate against branded. Of course non-fusion area and sphere mode are really good against it but also myutant beast’s spell negate every turn and the omnis from apophis the swamp deity are really good in the matchup. Laevatein is also of course, great into everything, it’s easily one of the best xyz monsters in the game. This deck does struggle against the xyz decks in the format because your interruptions are mainly negates with limited removal. Also this deck struggles to out your own jizukiru since the myutant bosses are smaller than it and as before mentioned, the access to removal in this deck is a lot worse than it may seem.

I chose to play 2 cry instead of 1 cry and 1 fusion because cry is incredibly good, the only good myutant card in fact. The recycling it provides is the only grind the deck has, and it’s just way easier to resolve. If the opponent sees you add fusion turn 3 and beyond, they just won’t play into it and it’ll rot in your hand. Whereas I used both cries in many many games. I considered playing myutant mutant but didn’t because I wanted to keep the garnet ratio down, however it would make lines more flexible if you want to play it. I never made ultimus, or i:p, or underworld goddess, and I’m pretty sure I never made unicorn. This deck is almost entirely main deck focused besides synthesis and of course laevatein so you can play whatever. I do wish I had a ptolemy tho, it would’ve come in handy.
