Desperado has evolved into a Counter Trap build. They're also an agressive deck that can easily out anything. Strong enough to beat everything. The counters raised the pressure factor that the deck already had, the fear of negating your stuff or Desperado-ing your monsters if you attack is high.

Competitive events continue to prove that Darklord is a prevalent force amongst the meta. The deck boasts immense power alongside a relatively flexible engine that allow it to prevail in a competitive environment. Strong performances from Darklord at a high level are expected to continue.

The KC Cup shed light upon a new way of playing Desperado. Using many counter traps to facilitate using Loading... was a trend that people picked up on very quickly. Counter Trap Desperado is a menace to be reckoned with, most especially when it takes the first move. Darklord found this matchup to be a very challenging adversary.

Darklords have established their position as the best deck. Their engine is just insanely powerful and once they get going, they can easily overwhelm almost any deck.

Thanks to the new Desperado build with maindecked Counter Traps they can just completely stop you from playing if they go first and negate Loading... , making this a pretty challenging match-up for Darklords.

Fortune Lady has proven to be a extremely hard deck to play against, They just takes the control of the whole board with a wall of Loading... + backrow like Loading... , Loading... or Loading... , cards that completely shut down the opponent's game.

Six Sams did awesome in KC Cup, even through the hits, Loading... negate + Loading... pressure is rough for some decks like Darklords and Fortune Ladies.
