Notes & Combos

This was without a doubt one of the worst, if not the worst, World Cups so far. What they did to Yusei's skill to make the deck top tier is ridiculous. While they're throwing Quasar away for free, we have to settle for our Dark Contract/Headhunt trap coming directly from our hands instead of from the deck.

  • I reached max Dlv on June 10th, 2026. I took a while to post this because I had problems editing the video, which ended up delaying everything. I almost melted my brain from fighting Yusei's skill so many times, lmaooooo

  • "Dark Contract with Patent License" is very strong against Stardust, but they can easily remove it using Ancient Fairy, which comes from the skill and can activate its effects (?), in addition to, of course, getting Necro Vale itself. I felt so much anger towards this deck for circumventing the banlist and using two cards for 1.

The fact that Stardust has Centurion's counter trap prevents this deck from dying to Dark Rule No More. If we remove that, we can hit them with a single board breaker... unlike our deck where, if we use Trap Witch + Siegfried, we can negate Droplet/Dark Rule. They, however, have no chance if we remove that counter trap.

  • I feel that even if we come in first or second, we're still at a disadvantage because of the overwhelming level of Stardust's skill compared to D/D/D's current skill. Black Rose followed by Droplet makes us quit immediately. We can negate one of the Synchro 10s that comes with the skill, but if they have Droplet, we've already lost that duel.

  • I don't have Sphere of Ra, but if you do, you can replace Book of Eclipse with the Sphere of Ra trio. This card playing second against Stardust is very strong. You can win, you'll just need to deal with the counter trap, Necro Vale, and maybe one or two hand traps in your opponent's hand.

Stardust's field isn't impossible to break, but against our deck, Necro Valley can decide the game.

In this WCS I tested several deck variations and one that caught my attention was using "Steelswarm Roach" as a solution to beat Stardust by playing first, and I had EXCELLENT RESULTS. The only problem with this play is that we passed with fewer interactions and without reaching Machinex/Gilgamesh. And we rarely managed to have CONSISTENCY to put Siegfried on the endboard, since our skill only puts one card in our hand.

Thank you to everyone who read this far.

D/D/D BEST DECK!❤️🙏🐎🐴
