Notes & Combos

Same as my KC Cup list, but I swapped the field spell out for Banisher of the Light. Having it out on turn 1 with Nightingale means my low-investment setup is also immune to Droplet, so they have to either FTK or draw Imperm to win. This deck can still brick going 1st, you need two different Drytrons in order to survive, so you can imagine the number of times I’ve opened two Lava Golems and then drew the 3rd off my Skill.

Basically the same comments about KC Cup apply here. Format feels bad, sis, but at least I pulled off a 10 win streak! Hoping for a huge banlist shakeup to get rid of the Tachslop package and eliminate the Dominance + Liquid Soldier combo that lets D-HERO players draw into any floodgates they want. It’s really harsh that basically every deck has to have some sort of unfair floodgate and also Kaiju access in order to be competitive. Everything from Elfobia, Magic Deflector, Tyrant’s, Mind Drain, Ophion, Iblee, and even my own Lancea/Banisher create frustrating game states that need to be addressed deeply both within the next banlist and also with future releases & Skills going forward.

Anyways, here’s hoping the next mini box contains some good Ritual support! I’m hoping we get Megalith Phul, Mikanko Mayowashidori, Nouvelles Recipe Book, or Cyber Angel Natasha, among their other missing cards as well.
