Notes & Combos
Despite its age, this deck has a surprisingly modern card design, to the point where it doesn't even suffer even when the opponent has Droll, Nibiru, Lava Golem, Effect Veiler, or D.D. Crow. The only hand trap that can disrupt your initial play is Fuwalos, but the deck can still play around it.
Regarding my choices: Effect Veiler is essential in the deck. Aside from serving as a LIGHT material, its effect is still consistent in this new meta. Droll is a great card, but being a WIND attribute, it can brick; one copy was enough for me, and I saw it several times during the climb. Infinite Impermanence is a fourth copy of Effect Veiler, though a bit more versatile since it can be used on your turn—I'd run more if I had the space. I used to like Unicorn because it allowed me to end with no monsters on the field, which turns off certain skills, but S:P proved much more versatile and was well worth the replacement. Finally, the standard Shaddoll build covers any need for interactions during the duel.
Note: the deck gained a lot with the 3rd copy of Wendi.
