Notes & Combos
Extremely happy to make it to KOG prebanlist without using Lava golem.
This is in my opinion probably the best version of Dark Magician out there. I have deck tested a lot of different versions and end boards before settling for this one.
These decks include:
- Dark Magician with Horus
- Dark Magician with Shining Sarc
- Dark Magician with Dino
- Dark Magician with Abyss Dweller & Navigation (Could have Kogged with this)
In the end, it was the pure Dark Magician with a side of Bystial (To not brick). This could definitely be tier 3. It requires a good player to play through all the disruptions. The order in which you play each card matters a lot as one mistake, you might as well hit the surrender button.
Boards
One of the best things about this version is that if you open Timaeus, you can play through droll and have an end board of the following in the first turn:
- IP Masqerena
- SP: Little Knight
- Dark Paladin
- Dragoon
- Set Dark Magic Expanded (With 3 Dark Magicians/Girls in the graveyard)
- Set Eternal Soul
- Dark Magical Circle
- 5 Cards in hand where you can guarantee a Nib and/or Droll
You guys will have to figure out how to get the above endboard. I am not telling.

MVP was Dark Magic Expanded as you can get full protection turn 1 and easily get 3 Dark Magician/Girl turn 2 to play through Disruption. Shoutout to Gaze clutching a lot.

For Skills, Master of Dark & Chaos is in my opinion the weaker skill of the 2. Much harder to play through Droll and sets up a weaker turn 1 endboard. Only pro with this skill is less bricks.

Started off with 30 Cards but found out that I was still bricking even with 3 of each (Illusion, Timaeus, Dark Magical Circle). Also shortened the deck because you really want to see Timaeus in opening hand to avoid droll.

I started off with Fuwalos instead of Nib. Found out that I never drew it and it was not great going first. (At least Nib I could use turn 2)
