Notes & Combos
I got lucky with the free pulls from the Selection Box. Sadly, I think S:P Little Knight is mandatory for Cyber Dragon, considering how awful the meta is right now.
Before starting, we have to understand that the deck dies if Droll is activated against us, so we need to make sure we search for Polymerization or Power Bond. To do that, we need a Spell Card in hand, preferably a "Cyber" Spell, although that almost never happens. The Normal Summon will almost always be used for Cyber Dragon Core, and using Nachster's second effect restricts us to summoning only Machines, preventing us from summoning S:P Little Knight.
Vs. HERO (hand-rip): Honestly, I don't know what the solution is if you go second and don't draw Droll or Fuwalos. The Cyber Dragon Skill doesn't generate free resources the way other Skills do.
Vs. Horus: Going first feels good until you set up a board of four monsters and get hit by two Lava Golems. If you have Droll in hand, you can try to make a play. What worked for me was using the Trap before I even saw the Sarcophagus Spell. However, if they have another one in hand, it's GG. Going second means dealing with Canopic Protector. You have to stop them from generating bodies, as the effect is once per chain. Using the Cybernetic Overflow generated by the Skill in response is a good move, depending on which Horus monster they left on the field. If we have Droplet in hand, we can chain it to negate the monster's effects and play without worry.
Vs. Shining Sarcophagus: Right now, I don't clearly remember whether I prefer going first or second against this deck, but blowing up their board wasn't too difficult. The tricky part is getting past Dragoon. You have to bait out Gaze of Timaeus first, either with Chimeratech Rampage Dragon or Cybernetic Overflow. If we don't have Droplet, we have to try to find the Kaiju. However, since this deck can easily run Droll, we have to play even more cautiously, lol. Keep in mind that the Silent Magician they usually leave on the field is the one that negates Spells.
Vs. Memento: Honestly, I have no idea what Memento does, and I'm not particularly interested in finding out. That said, they play a lot during our turn, so we need to try to clear their backrow and clog their monster zones, forcing the Kaiju to be their only monster in Attack Position, then finish them off with Power Bond into Cyber End Dragon.
Hopefully, some of these tips prove useful.
Good luck to everyone climbing the ladder!
