Notes & Combos
volviendo por estos terrenos como siempre con algun deck trampero les dejo el video abajo el deck se marco un 10.0 de leyenda 2 a 4 y aca un resumen para los amigos..
Alright, back again with another tricky strategy — this time focusing on the Monster Trap deck, reviving monsters from the sarcophagus. The new Odion skill helps a lot, giving the deck a real fighting chance against current meta decks. It actually surprised me — I managed a 10-win streak, climbing from Legend 2 to Legend 4.
I did have some trouble in Legend 4 and 5, mostly because of Blue-Eyes. Right now, that deck is the biggest threat — they can destroy your Serket continuous trap on turn 1, which causes bricky hands and makes it hard to keep up. Still, it’s not impossible to beat them. You have Lord of the Heavenly Prison, who will save you a lot in this matchup.
That said, you have to avoid at all costs letting them fuse into Dragon Jinzo, since he’s immune to traps — if that happens, you’re in big trouble. The best counter if they manage to summon it is to save your skill to search for the Kaiju and remove it from the field.
As for the annoying Blue-Eyes trap that destroys everything, your best ally, as I said before, is Lord of the Heavenly Prison — as long as you have him, you don’t need to worry. He makes that matchup winnable.
The good thing about this deck is that it can get rid of the Rock quickly using Anguish, and if you combine it with Apophis, they can’t dodge the destruction effect of the Rock in the Graveyard with the Blue-Eyes Synchro, because they can’t respond to Apophis.
Another problematic matchup for the deck is Shinobird, because of that Tornado Ritual — it wrecks the deck. You do have cards to negate it, like Apophis, and I recommend saving them exclusively for that. There’s also Amano-Iwato, which is troublesome; the best answer is Laggia — just negate its normal summon, and it’s gone.
In summary, the deck has improved a lot since last time thanks to the new skill — it’s much more playable now and has better chances overall. Ending with Laggia or Dolkka gives you strong negation and protection for your traps. If you don’t draw Lord, those two will be your main bodyguards in the early turns, while you set up with your traps. The new skill making them easy to summon is great.
