Notes & Combos
Thunder dragons is one of my favorite decks from TOSS so I had to immediately build it as soon as colossus was added. I had a lot of fun with it and my build ended up changing a lot early on. My build is fairly unique so I’ll explain my choices.
I used this skill and Dark Magician because searching Harpie’s Feather Duster going second or on turn 3 is broken. The Dark Magician isn’t even really much of a brick because you can send it with the skill. I also feel only being able to pitch darks with the skill doesn’t matter much since it’s the darks you want in the graveyard to banish always anyway. Having access to one of the best breakers in the game is more than worth not being able to pitch lights. I am not playing OG Thunder Dragon because I feel it’s unnecessary and bad more often than not. You just don’t need to play that card, it does almost nothing. Same goes for Thunder Dragonduo. My dragon ratios are 3x Wyverburster 1x Collapserpent since, like I mentioned before, it’s the darks you always want to banish. You absolutely should always have 3 wyverbursters, it’s the single best card in the deck. I’m playing Aether just because I don’t have nutbuster dragon and I don’t want to grind for it (though Aether might be better anyway since it’s a dark and banishes, it’s not that common your opponent will have 3 things you want to clear anyway), same goes for the 3rd levianeer but I don’t think you need it anyway. I think it’s a very good idea to fit at least a playset of non-engine in this deck, it felt great every time I had Book of Eclipse. Aloof Lupine is totally cuttable but I like it because it’s cute :).
Anyway, you don’t need to play OG Thunder Dragon, escape from the matrix, open your third eye
