Notes & Combos

This deck was a lot of fun to play. Before this most recent update as of yesterday, I had no idea what skill to play. I was experimenting with "Starlight Drive", but going first, it was essentially not even playing with a skill. Then I tried "Destiny Draw Leading to Dragon Master Knight" and while the draw 2 was good, it just didn't feel like enough compared to other deck. But then I saw the new Rescue Rabbit skill and thought it was incredible for the deck. Being able to bait out negates or extend with it was really nice, and it lead me to Gallant Granite easier which I appreciated, while also shuffling back any garnets I happen to draw. It allowed me to see my staples a lot more frequently as well. Speaking of staples, Infinite Impermanence is incredible for this deck to have as it's able to be a turn one OR turn two hand trap. There were really only 4 slots in this deck that I was unsure about being the 3 Cosmic Cyclones and the Moon of the Closed Heaven. The Cyclones were pretty good against this meta, as it's very Spell/Trap heavy, with a lot of decks (namely Blue-Eyes) having destruction protection with things like Jet Dragon. Moon of the Closed Heaven was more just a funny inclusion as people weren't really expecting that with it, I could use 2 of their monsters for Underworld Goddess (which is probably one of the best cards in this deck btw.) This deck, while fun and seems good on paper, kinda struggles against this meta. Without a dedicated skill, going second is a lot harder for this deck, and hand traps like Nibiru or Droll also affect this deck a lot more than other decks with those advantage gaining skills. Also, without Droll itself, it auto loses to the FTK going around right now if I didn't go first. Amano-Iwato and El Shaddoll Winda are also incredibly frustrating to deal with if you don't have specifically Imperm to deal with it (I did experiment with things like Droll and Droplet myself, but because those decks didn't appear too much for me on ladder and they weren't too terribly good vs Blue-Eyes, I didn't really end up going for it.) Moon can be replaced with Unicorn or Dweller if you want. Lastly, the replays will have quite a few misplays in them, but it gives you the general jist of what the deck can do doing 1st and 2nd.

Typical endboard to shoot for going first is - I:P / Dragite with WATER in Grave / Block Dragon / Herald / whatever backrow you end up drawing.
