Not gonna lie, this new balance update hit me hard…like a car, rendering my body useless (too soon?). How very untimely, literally why is my Skill getting hit when Starslop is out here totally unscathed? The level of shade and disrespect to the ritual dolls…

I love Shinobirds and I’m going to miss this deck so much! I don’t recommend playing it this format after the Skill rebalancing takes effect; for one, not getting to shuffle back the Shade Barons makes them into total garnets that’ll totally change how your lines work, and also the lack of Change of Heart will mean that the Tachyon matchup is actually unwinnable going 2nd as opposed to just really, really hard. I also had a rough time against Traptrix and ran into quite a lot of handtraps, which is all the more reason to take the hits to my deck personally lol.

As far as my tech choices, I settled on DD Crow as my hand trap of choice and it was most useful against Sharks and Traptrix specifically. Also, Blizzard is incredible this format as it stops The Seventh One unless they open Droplet. I also stopped using Dugares during my climb as the draw 2 put me way on the back foot on turn 3, though I’d keep it anyway as I suspect the attack boost would be helpful in some situations. I saved a ton of replays and yet I forgot any for Tachyon or Brandon…whatever, both of them would be indistinguishable anyway.

With that, my third month of Rituals-Only KOG attempts is completed, and with much more efficiency and way less frustration than last month! Let me know in the comments which Ritual strategy I should do next: I currently have Mikanko, Nouvelle, Drytron, Megalith, and Nekroz fully on lock and I have enough gems to build Libromancer or Magikey but not both, but not sure if either of them are worth it anymore
