Notes & Combos

The burger doesn't get summoned very often, but it's better to have it and not need it.

I was running Staff Recipe for a while but then took it out. It can trigger a dish effect but when using the skill or field spell to draw, there were several times when I would rather have seen a board breaker or another form of interaction. Staff doesn't do enough on it's own, not to mention the token it creates is a liability against Ancient Gear.

I dropped the Menu for roughly the same reason.

My ED is largely Super Poly targets, I never really made I:P or even Linkurboh. Do as you will.

Matchups: Utopia : Usually an easy game, unless you completely brick. 9/10 I opened LG and they'd just scoop, which is why we run 3. Cosmic also helps to get rid of the trap FIRST. You want to be able to play the quickplay. If going first, do not end on two monsters. One rit is enough.

Shaddoll: The problem deck. If going first, try to get into the lv4 and shuffle the traps bback. Either their GY will be empty OR they'll use 2 of them on the Purple chef to try and stop you. Either is helpful. If going second, pray you open "C". It's not impossible to win but it's a challenge.

Speedroid: Worst matchup to go against. This is the deck that made me take out Staff. If the play eclipse you HAVE to respond, to which they can then work up into kitedrake, staying in defense the entire time. Is winnable but not easy.

Ancient Gear: I don't advocate for skill hits often but being punished for interacting with your opponent in a way I can't respond to is insane. I didnt see it very often but AG is rough, I don't really have any new tips that aren't already known.

Other than that, fun deck, had a great time climbing this month, highly recommend.
