Notes & Combos
For Speed Duels this season, I reached King of Games using Shinobirds. The final stretch included wins against Shaddoll, Dino FTK, Beetrooper, Despia, and Synchrons, covering a wide range of combo, midrange, and control matchups.
I chose Shinobirds over Blue-Eyes because, while both are Tier 1, Shinobirds offer a higher skill ceiling and stronger matchup control when piloted optimally. The deck rewards precise sequencing, resource denial, and correct ritual timing rather than raw stat pressure.
Shinobirds performed particularly well by: • Disrupting combo lines without overcommitting • Forcing inefficient trades against midrange decks • Maintaining pressure while preserving hand advantage
The deck’s strength is not in autopilot consistency, but in decision density, which makes it well-suited for higher-level ladder play.
