Tier 0

Negative1

The year is 22XX. Everyone plays Stardust at TAS levels of perfection. Because of this, the winner of a match depends solely on the coinflip. The heads/tails metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the only remaining factor to decide matches. Humanity has reached its pinnacle. The low-tier peasants are living in poverty. It seems nothing can stop the great leader of 22XX, Yusei Fudo, and his army, the synchro monks who live in great monasteries where they levitate while synchro summoning with one hand and winning tournaments with the other. The tournament metagame has gotten to this point where everything is played out to theoretical perfection, so duelists flip coins and see who draws Loading... , and that's the game.

tl;dr Z-one was right, Konami, do something already.

Realistically speaking, after the banlist there isn't a reason to play anything else. Thanks, Konami.

No comment on the meta cause there is nothing new to say about it, but just some advice.

I tried to take a break from DL and took last week off and feel more refreshed than ever. Try it out…..maybe the decrease in players logging in gives Konami some reason to do something.

However, the decrease in tournament participants and the vibe I feel in our community is alarming and takes away every form of motivation in either competitive or casual ladder gameplay.

Tier 3

Giorfio

There are now only 2 other decks that are not Stardust in the tier list, both being tier 3, even though I think there's not really any reason to play anything that's not Stardust at the moment.

Destiny HERO is not a Stardust counter, but going first is pretty good into it, which makes it still able to take some wins in the format.

On the other side, Vaalmonica is the main counter to HERO that's also not completely terrible vs. Stardust, as going first they can make probably an even stronger endboard than Stardust (it's less consistent though, since you need all 3 traps set), so that's also an option.

However, Stardust, if played optimally, has a 50% or higher winrate against anything in the game, so if you like some other decks you can still play them, but we've reached a point where if you don't play the tier 0 now, you're essentially nerfing yourself for no reason.

Off Tier List

Snyffus , World Champion

Do you ever look at stuff and wonder how it got there? I did for the past 4 weeks with Resonator. Thankfully that time is over and this deck is where it belongs.
