Hello all, with the new BOX release (and the fact that this week's Tier List will have no changes), I have decided to take TPC comments on Deck Build Box: Buster Assault
THis will also be the last update for thie season's Top Player Council. Starting next monday, the Tier List will be written by our new Top Player Council!

, Gusto EnthusiastGusto seems to be a consistent version of Speedroids. Despite that, we can't inherently say its a better version. It can run Loading... among other techs (thanks to ther consitency provided by Ancestral Arts of Gusto ), which is a solid boon for this meta. It also has quite a flexible Extra Deck, from negation pieces like Loading... (which can be made within five summons) to board wipes like Loading... and Loading... .
Gusto immediately faces some challenges when it comes to the metagame, primarily needing to deal with the strong boards from the likes of Speedroid, Shaddoll and Utopia. The current options for Gusto seems to be Loading... and Loading... , since they provide ways to keep playing through cards like Loading... and Loading... .
In my opinioon, I think that Gusto will see some success in upcoming tournaments.
Gusto is extremely versatile: the sheer amount of end boards you can make going first with just a 1.5 card combo (Loading... / Loading... / Loading... / Loading... + a Dicard, provided you don't open Loading... ) puts every other deck in the meta to shame.
One line can end on Loading... + Loading... having drawn 4 cards,
Another line ends on Loading... + Loading... + another Synchro Monster (probably Loading... ) and a searched Loading... ,
Another line ends on Loading... which can Synchro SUmmon Loading... or Loading... on the opponent's turn.
Another line goes into Loading... which can go into Loading... on the opponent's turn.
Another line goes through Loading... into Loading... .
Make Loading... from Loading... (to floodgate Shaddoll).
Make Loading... + a Body + Loading... in GY (for Utopia)
These are just a few examples of the options that Gusto has when it comes to end boards, and going second it has plenty of board-breaker options that are easily accessible; Loading... can facilitate Loading... which gets you to Loading... , Loading... is easy to go into (as is Loading... ), and you can even make Loading... / Loading... very easily in Gusto.
In addition to that is the potential to just summon Sphreez and just crash your floating Gusto monsters in for the win. Will Gusto be meta? Probably not, but the deck can just do so much that it's frankly insane.
TPC Comments
Despite Loading... being one of my personal favourite monsters, I just don't think Assault Star Acceleration is enough to carry the deck (at least on its own). With Kaijus and Loading... running around, you will most likely need to run it alongside another competent strategy in order to avoid the worst-case scenario.
Some ideas for things that can be ran alongside the Assault Mode engine include: Buster Blader, Lyrilusc, Karakuri, Synchrons, Dinos, etc. Either way, we will have to wait until the end of the experimentation period to see which version will end up taking precedent.
As for Assault Archfiend Acceleration , you can play it in the existing Resonator shell with no problems. It might even be more flexible than Witness Why I Am Known as the True King! going second, as it doesn't require a cost to bring out its free Loading... (but it also comes with the risk of being bricker on top of losing the free Loading... ).
