Introduction and Summary

Hello! This is 闇Mic. Welcome to August's Gem Report.

Here I've included every Gem that could be earned last month, from events and campaigns to login bonuses, as well as a count for Box Chips and Dream Tickets. As always, I've compared the month's earnable Gems against the content released and calculated the difference in real-money required to obtain the three UR copies usually needed to compete in the current meta.

The largest resource of Gems this month was the Vrains World Level Cap Increase. This level cap increase was expected to arrive in December last year. But hey, better late than never, right?

August was a near-miracle month for Duel Links players. Giveaways such as the WCS Finals Celebration Campaign, combined with the long-awaited Vrains World Level Cap Increase, made the stars align for what may be the lowest cost to keep up in Duel Links history. Combine August's near-net-zero economy with the five Dream Tickets given out this month, and the game could, in theory, begin to shed its predatory reputation if Konami continues this pattern in the months to come.
