Notes & Combos
Saw a surprising lack of Ancient Gears in the WCS Max list, so decided to change that. A couple of changes from the version I used to KoG earlier in the month:
- Gear Dragon is a useful counter against problematic spell/ trap cards like Eclipse, Droplet (sometimes), and Exosister Returnia.
- Constructor Signal Red has more synergy with the deck, being an Earth Machine monster. It is also slightly better than Kiteroid with all the utopia/ lava golem matchups running around rampant.
- AG Box is a must-include IMO; it solves the deck’s top deck dependency issue by offering an extra draw for the next turn. Also works as a nice extender to get fusion materials for summoning Chaos Giant when Dark Golem/ Golem is not on the field, which can be a fairly common occurrence with Dragon being on the field now.
Shaddolls are a terrible matchup; best bet is to keep your howtizer safe to crash into Winda probably, then summon Dark Golem and fusion summoning with the trap card in the battle phase for lethal. Utopia and Resonators can be played around with some skill (the trap card blanks both the Rays so badly LMAO). Speedroids can also be handled fairly consistently. Overall, a very fun deck to play with. Also, feel free to add staples and standard techs to this list; I just like to keep my list smaller.
