Notes & Combos

Man, if there's something I really dislike about Rush, it's the severity of powercreep in each new set release. Closely related is the fact that Skills used by the previous meta Decks frequently get slaughtered to coincide these releases. What I'm getting at is that Galactica Fusion Draw was made supremo mid, and ever since then, Galactica Rising is something I've been brewing with in its stead. Since our meager, ineffective support wave didn't give us a new Skill for some reason, I might as well share what I've been experimenting with.

The core theory behind using Galactica Rising is the reliability. It gives near guaranteed instant access to Oblivion and Linac to turn on cards like Order, Star Restart or even an early Riding, and using cards like Crack Neutron (peak name frfr) can also net you an extra body for whatever calls for it. Xiphos, the most fraudulent Limit 3 card to ever exist, is quite bad in this meta, but it's quite good in the currently omnipresent mirror. Big Oblivion is also just fun lol

Honestly, I struggled with ratios a lot, there's a lot more playables than room in the Deck; I never truly landed on counts that felt comfortable. Could go 1-2 Oblivion, 1-3 Neutron, Riding or other Traps, Lika or Traveler for more Level 4s, the list goes on. That being said, Transam Nebula Fusion is some turbo a**; it's bricky, annoying to activate, Power wants stuff in Grave and Nebula shuffles them, and god forbid you ever draw 2 of these things. Honestly it's prob only really good in a dedicated Buster Turbo list playing more of the bad Level 7s.

Anyway it's time to talk negatives; the most notable one is finding Fusion. Usually you'll find it and can easily recur and reuse it, but without Fusion Draw, sometimes you just don't find it for like 3 turns and get minced. Xiphos can offer an alternative play when this happens but it's obviously imperfect.

The other main issue is simply just the power level of Light Galaxy. Compared to the competition, we simply have to invest more cards to make plays, and those plays aren't as strong. Would it have killed them to at least release something like Twin Twinkle Star over the DARK Galaxy Chaos Coolstars in our own Structure Deck??? Thanks guys, can't wait to Tribute for specifically Oblivion in [current year].

Like honestly, after a year of waiting, how did we get the most nothing burger support ever, not even a Skill??? All we really got was Power, so it's actually worth using Linac over Galactic Enforcer (formerly Giant Bulge), and Neutron but that should've ALREADY been out; everything else is just niche and barely useful. The only thing that actually changed was that the Deck became near literally free to build for some reason. So now every F2P player can suffer along with me in a sea of endless powercreep and hopelessness :)

Anyway, this list isn't exactly perfected, so if anyone's interested in brewing with this Skill, feel free. Also, Buster Turbo might actually be a build worth giving a closer look, but I wanted to share this one. We'll prob still be weaker than the bi-monthly meta regardless, but oh well. Lastly, the replays suck lmao; most games were uninteresting, and there's more mirrors running around than when I played WCS 2nd Stage last year.
