BATTLIN' BOXERS BAAABY!
I'll be fully honest, I uploaded a video earlier today about the climb while I was still DLv 19, and tonight I got DLv Max after climbing back from 18. I'll copy a few of my points about the deck from my YouTube video here.
Why Battlin' Boxers?
Battlin' Boxers are one of those decks that feel like they have an accidental advantage on the current meta. Counter Traps cannot be answered by Quasar's negate, target protection deals with Shooting Star removal, General Kaiser's summon Negate cancels out big synchros, and if a 20K Attack Stardust engages you can either 105 damage reflect or remove it from play with Chief Second. Unfortunately the going second match up is very dependent on you drawing the out to a comical extent.
My personal experience playing the WCS:
The Stardust match up was not a walk in the park, if you negated the wrong thing or didn't keep track of your resources you can very easily lose. And Necrovalley is a pain in the ***, a lot of times I've been able to dodge every negate and removal only for Switchitter's effect to be negated by Necrovalley which causes me to lose the game. The RDA match up is ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. You really need to negate and destroy Crimson Gaia or else you are doomed to keep seeing RDA revive every time, and since Scarred can wipe your entire attack position field you can't just leave 105 in attack mode to bait an attack. Also, the moment you get hit with a Red Reign you just surrender. Despite all this, most of my loses weren't against RDA and Stardust. It was against decks built specifically to counter them. A lot of hard lockdown, stall or FTKs going around which means going second in Battlin' Boxers is certain death. You don't know how demoralizing it is to set up a good field only to forget that Nibiru is still a card.
