Hello everyone, it's me, the Altergeist King, Crimson Reaper 5. I am back with yet another Altergeist upload, this one featuring my June 2026 WCS MAX run. This WCS run felt quite difficult, but that is to be expected considering we are currently in a tier zero Stardust meta. The format is basically just "play Stardust or try to floodgate Stardust." Against Stardust, you better hope you opened your Discord or else you're losing to an unrespondable Satellite Warrior deleting your board. If you went second, simply Sphere Mode and try to play through what they have. It's still hard though since Shooting Star is popping your Temple of the Kings on your Draw Phase.

Getting into the deck write-up, I made a few adjustments. Since I maxed very late into Stage One, I didn't face any Yusei Stardust players at stage 19. As such, I cut Stygian Dirge for more generic traps such as Magic Deflector and Powersink Stone. Magic Deflector is there because I needed a way to play through Forbidden Droplet. When can we get Altergeist Protocol Konami? Powersink Stone was a tech I was playing during my May 2026 King of Games run and it came in clutch. Just being able to completely turn off enemy monster effects goes a long way. Just be careful using it since you cannot activate Silquitous while you're under Powersink Stone. The Eye of Truth is there as your anti-Skill and it's the best limit one you can play.

As for the Extra Deck, it's very standard Altergeist core. You might notice I threw in Dragvirion. That's just for decoration purposes and me coping that the upcoming VRAINS update gives me Malwisp. Currently, there's no way to make Dragvirion except by using the bad Tuner in Fifinellag + Marionetter, which makes you go omega minus on field. Malwisp would open up the Dragvirion combo line, which I think is cool.

And that just about wraps it up for this WCS decklist upload. Altergeist hasn't received anything new as of late, so the deck is still the same old same old. My past six duels to WCS MAX were Dark Magician, Lyrilusc, Utopia, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Thunder Dragons, and my rankup duel Doomking Balerdroch Horus Zombie World Control. As I said, I maxed late and I had the WCS MAX YouTube video to work on, so this decklist is most likely also getting uploaded late. By the time I maxed, all the Yusei Fudo and Jack Atlas players were already gone, so I didn't find any for the video.
