This is my entry on how this deck works.

​Deck Synergy: Subterror & Red-Eyes Fusion

​The goal of this deck is to combine the defensive "flip-flop" engine of the Subterror archetype with the aggressive pressure and negations of Lord of the Red and Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon.

​The Ideal Opening Combo

​A perfect starting hand includes The Hidden City, a Red-Eyes monster, and either Lord of the Red or its Ritual Spell.

​The Subterror Engine: Activate The Hidden City to search for Subterror Guru. Normal Summon Guru in face-down defense, then use the Field Spell’s effect to flip him to face-up Attack Position. This triggers Guru’s effect to search for Subterror Fiendess, giving you an immediate hand-trap negate.

​The Red-Eyes Engine: Use your Character Skill to search for the missing piece of your Ritual Summon.

​Going First: Aim for Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon to set up your board.

​Going Second: Prioritize Red-Eyes Insight to send Red-Eyes Wyvern to the Graveyard for follow-up plays.

​The End Board: Ritual Summon Lord of the Red and, if possible, Fusion Summon Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon.

​Why This Works

​Layered Protection: With Subterror Fiendess in hand and Guru on the field, your Lord of the Red is protected from being interrupted or destroyed.

​The Resource Loop: The Hidden City allows you to flip Guru back down during your opponent's turn to negate attacks. On your next turn, you flip him back up to search for another Fiendess, keeping your hand full of negates.

​Dual-Threat Negation: Between Dragoon’s omni-negate and Lord of the Red’s destruction triggers, the opponent will find it very difficult to resolve card effects or maintain a presence on the field.

​Key Summary

​This build transforms the standard Subterror control deck into a high-ceiling combo deck. By using Guru to bait out responses and Fiendess to protect your Ritual/Fusion plays, you create a board that is extremely difficult to break.
