Notes & Combos
Honestly, the rank-up was pretty straightforward; I think it’s mostly because the tryhards are busy playing the KC Cup right now. That doesn't take away from my achievement, though—this is the third time in a row I’ve hit KOG in Rush Duel using DM (my favorite deck). There aren't any new cards, so the meta remains the same—with Wyrms still dominating—but we have ways to hold our ground using Shiny Shady or Excutie Riding! (provided they don't summon their Maximum monster). We can turn the tide by destroying all their Spells and Traps with Dark Magic Attack, taking out their monsters with Thousand Knives, and massively boosting our Spellcasters' ATK with Dark Resonance Burst. I only run one copy of Curse of the Rising Light because it feels like a gamble; it either pays off big time or ends up being a dead card. As for the deck itself, I only made one change: swapping a copy of Lily Slayer for Amazing Dealer (I redeemed a Dream Ticket for it, so I felt like I had to use it, lol). I don't think it's a bad card—drawing three cards is great, even if it hurts to discard powerful Spells like Stone of the Dark Magicians or Dark Resonance Burst—but I guess it's a fair trade-off. My only issue with the card is its 0 ATK; if you don't have a way to Tribute it for a bigger monster or flip it face-up with Shiny Shady, you might end up losing. Anyway, that’s it for this month. Shoutout to my sensei, Coolsy101; he always congratulates me, and that keeps me motivated to keep trying.
