Notes & Combos
“Prepare yourself, Susan, to face the wrath of MEGA ULTRA CHICKEN!!!!”
No joke, the big turning point from going on long losing streaks in Legend 1 to absolutely destroying everything in sight was switching from regular Marik to Melvin…and also remembering that the 2nd effect of the Skill lets you search the big golden bowling ball.
The paths to success with this deck are good LP management, baiting out interactions, and picking one good attack target to deal lethal in one hit because this deck loses a lot of steam come turn 4. Surprisingly, the Tax Dragon is not as much of an issue compared to Despia’s multitude of floating effects, and honestly they’re one of Ra’s better matchups along with Strikers, Utopia players who don’t end on Dweller, and HERO going 1st because they can’t out an unaffected 6900 attack bungus (but watch out for their floodgates!). Chimera is thematically appropriate as the worst matchup due to overall board stickiness and how layered their points of interaction are.
