It’s time to ghoul! Happy Halloween from Aluber the Boober of Doober!
Getting in my KOG climb with Despia this month because it’s an ooky spooky deck for Halloween and so I don’t have to after the skill gets nerfed. Only 1 Dramaturg but really that’s all you need in most games. The ladder is full of BEWD and Rebecca FTK, which is why I play MST for the former and Droll for the latter. Honestly, if you don’t have an out to Tax Dragon in this format, that’s a skill issue on your part (and I don’t mean the click yellow button kind!). The new BEWD triple-pop is BRUTAL, always try to get Opening in GY if possible, ideally without activating it so you can discard off of the Darklord link to set up a Morningstar nuke next turn.
Since this archetype is themed around evil thespians, my playlist for this KOG climb was all Broadway villain songs. The ones I think Aluber would terrorize 2am Denny’s patrons with would be “Master of the House” from Les Mis, “The Seven Deadly Virtues” from Camelot, and “This is Me” from Greatest Showman, not because it’s a villain song but because it’s the worst musical I’ve ever heard and would therefore be evil to have to listen to lol
