Early KoG this month, played Music Princess until Gold 3, Baseball until Gold 5 (lost a KoG rankup) then decided to swap to Spellcasters.
Standard aggro Spellcasters build that aims to break the board and deal as much damage as possible instead of playing the "Who drew Shady?" mini-game, Hammer Shot+Compulsory help clearing monsters and maximize the potential damage, Curse is a very flexible card in general.
Shady isn't mandatory in Spellcasters in my opinion, there's no need to play the control mini-game since your engine can apply pressure consistently. The Amazing Dealer+Straynge Magician pair is more suitable for the aggro gameplay you want to play so it's preferable using it instead of Alchemy+Cat.
