Notes & Combos

Volviendo por estos terrenos como siempre con alguna estrategia trampera en este caso burneo.

This month I felt like playing a burn deck again, but I wanted to do it in a different way than before. So I took advantage of the fact that Dynatag is a Destiny HERO burn hand trap and built the strategy around that card. I also decided to include other cards from the archetype that were the most useful for the idea I had in mind.

The positive side of this strategy is that it’s very unexpected for the opponent. Going first, it performs well against almost everything. Thanks to the Apophis cards, you have the option to negate a lot of plays, and if you’re lucky, Fusion Destiny can let you summon Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer, and together with Anguish Pattern you can set up several interruptions. You might ask, “What about Lava Golem?” It’s not that much of a problem here, because what I usually do is destroy my own cards with Anguish, so the opponent can’t drop it on me.

On the negative side, what’s bad about this version? Well, if your field gets broken and your opponent manages to push through all your interruptions, the deck has almost no way to come back into the game. There are a few exceptions, like Celestial, which lets you draw 2 cards when you have no cards in hand while your opponent is controlling the field. Other comeback cards are Mirror Force and Dimensional Wall, but they’re hard to draw when you need them.

Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer becomes the best card in the deck. Once you summon it, you can relax a bit, since it keeps coming back every turn. It could also be considered a comeback card. It has good synergy with Invitation, dealing -300 LP to the opponent every turn.

Overall, the deck is not bad at all. It can definitely put up a fight, and it’s not that expensive.
