Even with the new ban list in effect, Therion and dhero remain powerful.
In particular, if you go second against dhero, you’ll need to use Forbidden Droplet, but since this deck currently doesn’t include Forbidden Droplet, defeat is virtually guaranteed in this scenario. However, if you go first against dhero, victory is assured with Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon and Ancient Gear Dragon. If you go first against Therion, just summon Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon, hold out with Kite Roide, and counterattack on the next turn. If you go second against Therion, use Ancient Gear Statue as bait. If your opponent negates it, use the Ancient Gear skill to Special Summon Ancient Gear Dark Golem with Ancient Gear Tanker, and then Special Summon Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem with Ancient Gear Duel to attack. The key is to activate Therion “King” Regulus 's effect before using “Ancient Gear Duel.” That’s because you need to do so to be able to use “Ancient Gear Duel.” If this strategy succeeds, you win. When facing other decks, you can usually just summon Dark Requiem Xyz Dragon and hold out with Kite Roide. It’s really great that we can still use Ancient Gear in the new Limit format. Haha.
