Notes & Combos
Ok so can we all agree that the way that Gold 5 works is the absolute worst? It took me around 40 wins just to get to Gold 5 and then another 60 in that rank alone just to get my 5 wins in a row to KOG. I can't even begin to go over how many winstreaks and even final rank-up games I lost just because somebody managed to Maximum summon at the right point and/or a Trap caused me to miss lethal by 100LP (or both at the same time), or because the RNG decides "oh hey, we hate women so lets give this Harpie player 2 Pet Dragons, 2 Harpie Sisters, and a trap that the opponent can destroy. Thank you for playing Duel Links :)))))" anyone else super demoralized, especially considering that Speed format has actually improved significantly (at least for me) in recent weeks?
A strategy I've found that works in almost any matchup except the mirror is to keep setting 3 monsters and passing until you've opened all 3 Max pieces and your opponent has enough attack position monsters to OTK with. I know the general consensus with this deck is that going aggro is better, but with a lot of decks not being able to hit for Piercing damage or do anything about face-down monsters, it's suprisingly not a bad backup plan.
Oh and how even is this deck supposed to beat Lightining? I know it's not super common but for Harpies it's honestly an unwinnable matchup.
