Notes & Combos

I started this month off with Baseball again but who would've known the new Rush box would've brought us not one but TWO FIRE-based decks that take full advantage of my field spell...and I took that personally!

I had like 15K gems hoarded up so I figured I would dig into the new box for the Excutie cards and was able to use 9,500 exactly to obtain full playsets of everything I needed for all 4 new decks, including this little number with its Raidraptor knock-off looking playstarter. This also means I've KOGed with all 3 available members of the Goha Six, which makes me want to try using the others as soon as they're released (not looking forward to using Yuran though!).

Only took 8 games in Gold 5 after switching to Air Formula. The biggest strength this deck has is its use of vanilla monsters in a format where Shiny Shady is everywhere. That said, if your opponent leaves a card in hand and sets backrow, it's usually better to assume that's what the've got set and eschew Air Forumula in favor of some good ol vanilla beatdown strats. Play more copies of Meteor Charge if you have them! I also like that, outside of the boss monster and Cyber Tech, the entire monster lineup is super easy to obtain.

So I have this built and I have Excutie, Noodles, and Meatier locked and loaded...dare I say I am almost to a point where I could start KOGing with different decks every month like I always do in Speed format? I know I repeated Baseball twice this year already but should I go for broke and start doing no repeats?
