Notes & Combos

I had no idea how to do the anti-Nibiru 1 card combo for a while so I am leaving this here just in case so that I don't forget.

Abyss Shark Combo (D/D/D Wave High King Ceasar 5th summon):Skill reveal Abyss Shark get Buzzsaw Shark and Xyz Revive Splash discard Revive Splash, Normal summon Buzzsaw, Active Abyss Shark to special summon and add Surfacing Big Jaws, Buzzsaw effect target Abyss Shark to summon Crystal Shark, Xyz summon Number 73 or Number 94 using Crystal Shark and Abyss Shark, detach Crystal Shark from the Xyz, Revive Splash grave effect to summon Wave High King by ranking up the Xyz, Second normal summon Surfacing Big Jaws and activate it to add Dream Shark, Buzzsaw and Surfacing Big Jaws can overlay for a Rank Four non-Number so this is the only chance to summon Abyss Dweller but they can also be used to summon Rank three or five water Xyz, activate Dream Shark to special summon from hand, activave Crystal Shark to special summon from grave by targeting Dream Shark to half Attack, Xyz summon using Crystal Shark and Dream Shark for Nash Knight or Valiant Shark Lancer since Dream Shark does not have an effect to be treated as a different levels here only rank five can be summoned. Possible Endboard 1: Wave High King (2 materials)+Dweller+Nash Knight or Valiant Shark Lancer. Possible endboard 2: Wave High King (2 materials)+Nash Knight+Valiant Shark.

This deck looses really badly to Book of Eclipse or Forbidden Droplet. Even so I am not playing the common counters (Blizzard or Magic Deflector) because their utility is limited aside from being direct counters to those cards and they fail to address another of this deck's weaknesses in the form of Kaijus and Lava Golem which are currently more common than ever. The efficiency of these counters is also questionable since multiple Book of Eclipse will require multiple of them which encourages playing a high amount of cards which are not very good otherwise and the combination of Book of Eclipse and Droplet invalidates the counters since Droplet can send the Book of Eclipse for cost and it will dodge both Blizzard and Deflector. The handtraps and the Forbidden spells on the other hand provide meaningful interactions that does not leave you compleately vulnerable if the monsters on the field get dealt with (of course here winning is more difficult and it requires to be able to interrupt the opponent at a crucial point) but they importantly help going second which could be hard at times.
