Notes & Combos
After almost a year, the King is back to full power. Red Dragon Archfiend, while not as uncontested as it used to be, not even close in fact, is still an absolute powerhouse. With no more than Crimson Resonator, and either Bone Archfiend or Soul Resonator, we can end on Abyss, Red Nova, and returning from the Ban List, Void Ogre. Combined with a full backrow of Fiendish Chain, Fiendish Golem, and either Crimson Gaia or the more preferred Red Reign, targeting protection from the Graveyard in Tuning Gum, and destruction protection from the Graveyard via Soul Resonator, Red Dragon Archfiend on Turn 1 is as commanding as ever, and going second it's no slouch either, with plenty of threatening cards to bait interactions before breaking the board with good old Crimson Gaia and an Absolute Powerforce to the face from RDA himself. The biggest issue that keeps this from being as strong as it could be, is the swarm of Kaijus, Forbidden Droplet, and Book of Eclipse, as usual. Despite this, Red Dragon Archfiend still has one of the harder full end boards to break, so it is not to be slept on.
