Notes & Combos

The standard turn 1 opening combo always starts with activating imsety or king's sarcophagus if you have both it and a good discard fodder card (hapi, damage juggler, or cattle scream). If you discarded damage juggler, banish it to add trick clown to your hand. This thins your deck a bit before your skill draw. From there:

  1. Activate the skill
  2. Normal summon trick clown
  3. Xyz into galaxy photon dragon
  4. Detach trick clown to search primal or another tachyon piece
  5. Activate primal in hand and trick clown in graveyard to summon both to your field
  6. Use galaxy photon dragon's effect to make trick clown level 8
  7. Xyz into photon lord
  8. If cattle scream is in your GY, detach from galaxy photon dragon to summon; If emperor is in your hand, discard to summon
  9. Summon horus bodies until 2 level 8s on board
  10. Xyz into dragluxion
  11. Search afterglow or another tachyon piece
  12. Summon afterglow
  13. Link afterglow and galaxy photon dragon into heavenly spheres

Expect to have about 5 to 8 disruptions most of the time.

For turn 2, if you expect that opp will flip or destroy mystical elf, you can either try going into horus summons before anything else and then building hope harbinger/photon lord to protect mystical elf or you could just let your opponent pop it and use horus to make dragluxion and put primal on opp's board for the OTK.

Good matchups: tachyon

Bad matchups: traptrix

Going first is almost always a win unless they have golem/sphere mode.

Possible Adaptations

You can swap some of the 5 hand traps for kaijus for a stronger turn 2. I preferred hand traps because they have utility on both turn 1 and 2. You could run golem or sphere mode and still get your rank 4 out by discarding trick clown instead of normal summoning, but this prevents you from using trick clown as a rank 8 material later on. Swapping PEP for ty-phon works if you run 5 ghost girls.

I've had some success running this deck with bujinki ahashima instead of galaxy photon dragon. Benefits: more rank 8 materials and a potential spell/trap pop. Drawbacks: hard to get rid of ahashima.

If you want better consistency, you could run imduk instead of ty-phon so if you dont draw a level 4, then you can use mystical elf to make your heavenly spheres.
