Notes & Combos
Personally, I think the deck is still very playable. It just depends more on your hand now. You have to approach different hands in different ways, which I actually find more fun than just going for the same board every time.
The main difference, in my opinion, is that the board you used to get almost for free through the skill now has to be built more through your actual card effects. Of course, you still have those two draws from the skill, which are important, and also the discard — for example if you have Retribution in hand or something else, being able to discard or shuffle cards back into the deck is also really useful.
So yeah, the skill is still very important for the deck, but I think with the current version of the skill, the deck is a lot more fun than before.
The only real issue I had while playing was the Fusion aspect. If there were more Branded-based fusions in Duel Links, the deck would work much better. One or two additional fusion options would definitely improve the deck a lot.
