Notes & Combos
This deck is the most powerful control strategy I've ever seen in Rush. Your goal is to mill/dig through your deck to get access to multiple copies of Wish of the Skysavior as fast as possible, then loop them over and over with Gulflare to put your opponent on lockdown. Once you get two Wishes in rotation it's basically checkmate, even standard spell/trap removal is usually not enough to cut through your defense. You don't even have to burn through an opponent's LP to win, just keep shuffling back monsters into the deck with Gulflare and Wish and you can keep looping it forever until the opponent decks out.
The power of this trap gives you a surprisingly good matchup against all the big OTK decks like Metarion/Heroes/Dark Magician since you can shuffle back their most dangerous boss monsters every time they try to summon one. It doesn't matter how much damage they do if they never get a chance to attack with one. On top of that, every time you use the trap you can get a free Fusion or Watch back on your field as a bonus effect- which even if you don't need you can trade in with the skill for free draws. Absolutely nuts synergy here.
I imagine the worst matchup this deck has is Gradius because it can threaten multiple backrow pops purely in-engine and can easily play through having its Ripple Lasers shuffled back repeatedly. But Gradius is not popular on the ladder at the moment and Star Protection helps with contact fusion decks regardless.
