Notes & Combos

Traptrix, but I limited myself to 20 cards for the sake of consistency and made a couple of changes to the standard recipe usually used to improve the deck's performance when going second:

  1. Forbidden Droppled is indispensable here, especially in this format where Dranded is almost tier 0 and Dragoon exists. Negating the effects of omni-negators or annoying monsters is always good, and here you have material to pay the cost for free in the traps and monsters that Cularia or Holutea recycle. Also, removing a Sera from the field after it has already used its effects can prevent an OTK more than once.

  2. I run few Trap Holes because, frankly, you don't need that many. With Sera and Myrmeleo, you already have enough to start your turn with two Trap Hole sets and a third or a doubled one if you draw it, which is quite likely when playing 20 cards. I used Terrifying Trap Hole Nightmare very circumstantially, and it could be replaced with another Trap Hole of your preference (Deep Dark Trap Hole, for example).

  3. I play two Atyphus because it's the card that gets you through duels. If you manage to get both onto the battlefield, which isn't difficult thanks to its ability, and you have a trap in your graveyard, you can easily overcome any monster your opponent plays, except for a Dragoon that you've allowed to get too much buff.
