Notes & Combos
Volviendo por aca como siempre con algun deck trampero!
Back to trap control as always. This month it was time to return to the good old Eldlich, taking advantage of the arrival of the new Silhouhatte Rabbit, which is currently in fashion because of its so-called anti-meta potential with the combination of Lord of the Heavenly Prison. This allows you to set Non-Fusion Area and Tyrant’s Tirade during the opponent’s turn thanks to Temple of the Kings. Honestly, I did not find these cards necessary to reach KOG with the deck. In fact, I won many duels along the way simply by setting up a strong anti-skill turn with 2 Apophis the Swamp Deity and 1 Statue of Anguish Pattern or 1 Silhouhatte Trick. This simple combination of three traps has been enough for me to stop Branded and other decks.
The recent addition of Horus to the game in this deck is still in a testing phase for me, and so far I haven’t seen much action from it. It is probably due to the lack of copies. I did have some duels where I was able to test it and I liked its inclusion in the deck, since it allows you to remove the opponent’s most annoying bosses quickly thanks to King’s Sarcophagus. The access to Rank 8 monsters also helps the deck a lot. For now, it is just a matter of waiting for the future when I can get more copies and then draw better conclusions.
I see Eldlich in a good position in this meta thanks to Huaquero of the Golden Land. It works like a D.D. Crow and helps a lot against the Branded plague. With this card, you have many ways to disrupt this archetype. Also, with the help of Apophis the Swamp Deity, you can stop their main spells, and with that you can survive their turn. Overall, highly recommended.
