Prerequisites

  • A registered Konami ID linked to your master duel game
  • Must login to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB using the same Konami ID
  • If the Yu-Gi-Oh! DB website asks to login with Game Card ID just click "I don't have a game card ID" and fill some basic information to proceed

Export Guide

- Via the MDM extension (Recommended): Download on Firefox, or Chromium Browsers
For Chromium browsers (Chrome/Edge/Opera/Brave...etc) just click "Add to chrome" on the store page and it'll work on most if not all chromium browsers.
After using the extension, go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

  1. Click here to copy the export code
    2.
  2. Go to Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards DB and click My Deck => Add a Deck
  3. Once the deck page loads click Edit then do one of the following based on the platform your device is running:
    • (PC Only): Press F12 to open the DevTools window => Navigate to the Console tab in the window => Paste the export code => Hit Enter
    • OR (Other platforms/PC): In the address bar of the current tab remove the URL and type "javascript:" without the quotations then paste the export code, then if you're on mobile look for the *globe* icon and tap on it to run the code (Chrome only), for PC users just hit enter.
  4. The deck will save automatically
  5. Go to the Master Duel game => Main menu => Deck option => The Card database option at the top right corner => locate the deck you exported and copy it

Notes & Combos

Don't worry, I'm not gonna write an entire thesis as to why this deck's good or why this meta is bad (it's actually pretty healthy)

So what is there to say? Well the skill gives the deck insane consistency. There have been so many times where I ended on Chixiao Qixing Dragite Blackout with Golden + Ecclesia in GY. Not a lot of decks can beat this board if you time your interactions correctly. Heck, I find myself being greedy for the extra Qixing draw often since I frequently open a hand that has a reveal for the skill + at least 1 other Swordsoul name.

Going 2nd, this deck plays enough nonengine to force out the biggest threats in the format like Dragoon or Masquerade, so I didn't have too much of an issue with Branded. Although if you don't draw nonengine, you're gonna have a tougher time into floodgate decks like Beetrooper.

Another weakness this deck has is Lava Golem, which is especially problematic with Red-Eyes running around. Otherwise, I think the matchup is pretty favored for Swordsoul. It's a good thing this deck has plenty of ways to beat Dragoon both going 1st and 2nd.

Oh yeah, I got a 32-winstreak with this deck to King of Games. I believe that's an undefeated streak in Legend? I documented my climb pretty frequently in the Swordsoul channel of the Master Duel Meta Discord, so you can see my streak screenshots more clearly there.
