Notes & Combos
Opinion on the deck:
This deck completely sucks, it loses to Heroes!!!
In all seriousness though I went on a 29-1 rampage and only lost to Heroes on my 24 win streak KoG rank-up game which was a bit unlucky because he chained Magic Deflector to my Branded in Red 😢.
I didn't really like the deck before the new cards, mainly because of The First Darklord, however I like how the deck feels now.
My biggest dislike in the deck is Masquerade the Blazing Dragon as it is a pretty unfun card and lets you win duels you shouldn't otherwise, so I would like to see it hit (either at 1 to stop people from playing Super Polymerization or at 3 to conflict with Branded Fusion).
Gameplan:
Your gameplan is to discard Tragedy with Opening to summon Aluber, so that you end on Masquerade, Mirrorjade and Branded in Red with Ad Libitum in grave (or hand).
Techs:
Switching to backrow removal to get rid of all the pesky floodgates people will be playing is probably the right call. Other techs I tried were: Nibiru, Droll and Veiler but you don't really need it because if you play right you can usually win using only your in-archetypal cards.
Expectations for this deck:
The deck is really, really strong so it is probably going to be the dominant deck in this format, however the deck does have a hard time against certain backrow (especially floodgates) as it has limited in-archetype spell/trap removal capabilities.
