I was able to climb to Legend without the staples, using Burst Stream of Destruction and Destined Rivals, but Book and Droplet feel mandatory to reach KOG. Blue-Eyes turn 1 can be annoying, and Seal helps a lot, but it still feels very weak compared to what the rest of the meta can build. Without staples, even the F2P Dragoon decks can OTK you. Defending against Dragoon's two pops+burn damage is brutal when you don’t have any kind of negate.
I ended up taking Nibiru out. It helped me climb to Platinum, but after that it feels extremely bricky. Branded decks just laugh at Nib and rebuild their entire board, and Dragoon decks rarely even meet the activation requirements. I honestly don’t know why so many Blue-Eyes decks still run it.
If I had more copies, I would definitely run at least two FD and two CC.
