Notes & Combos

Man do I still L O V E playing Live☆Twin

I made this list at the start of my climb to directly counter the influx of GY and anti-GY strategies and techs in the form of 3x IDP, 3x Veiler (it would be Crow if I had it. it proved to be more useful than IDP against Constellar, which the most common deck from the latest Box during my climb). I would say that strategy succeeded, considering that it achieved my fastest KoG ever in just 62 wins.

In my previous KoG list, I denounced Cynet Crosswipe for often being either dead in my hand or too little, too late. While still true, the value in either ensuring my combo goes through on turn 2 or being free discard fodder felt good enough to add it in at 2x.

I've considered running the Amazement package but fear it'll lower consistency and don't find Arlekino valuable enough to try to strike a balance within 20 cards.

Replay notes:

  1. I played really well and my opponent did not. I can see how oppressive Constellar's board would be if piloted correctly, though I haven't seen it in action yet
  2. Feels like another case of pilot diff. I would've used Vishuda in hand targeting Evil★Twin Ki-sikil, removing what would be just about my opponent's only option in chain-block-destroying Flawless Protection, nearly guaranteeing that I draw 2 cards, THEN beating over the Twins on board.
  3. First of all, I don't understand this pure slander of an accusation that Live☆Twin and S-Force are equal decks. While S-Force's floodgates are very good and it is less fragile than Twins, the inherent draw power and consistent interruptions of Twins are so much more generically good that it just seems better, especially in a format that is both diverse and prone to ignore S-Force's floodgates. This duel was another matter of pilot diff, I just wanted to vent that out.
  4. I don't know if it's just because my turn 1 board was insane, but I find it hard to imagine that Constellar has a better turn 2 than most other decks in the format
  5. Just wanted to show off this crazy decklist I've never seen before

I wanted to include at last 1 replay where I lost, but the only 2 duels I lost in my last 10 were the result of AWFUL misplays
