17 games in Gold 5, and not too soon before GR Festival starts! The addition of an another extra deck slot couldn’t have come at a better time since now I can finally make room for Herculestar in my list! It definitely comes in handy against the continuous onslaught of Sevens Road players who somehow always open Ghost Cyclone and always hit my Traps no matter what column I put them in! In any case, Ashurastar is still the MVP of the deck and here’s hoping they eventually import the remaining archetype’s Trap cards soon!
It’s been so interesting to see how quick the acceleration of power creep has been for Rush in DL throughout the year. I used 6 different decks in total for KOG in this format and now only 2 of them are still viable. That said, there’s still a ton to look forward to for Rush in 2026, a lot of newer archetypes such as Celeb Rose, Harpies, and possibly even Ritual decks could come out and really shake things up even further…just as long as we don’t get another Gaia format!!
