Hello everyone. I am back with another one of my legendary Altergeist King of Games entries. This will be my final entry for the 2025 year and what a year it has been for Duel Links. We got a lot of cool decks like Eldlich, Swordsoul, Floowandereeze, and more. We also got a trap Skill that made my favorite deck (Altergeists) playable in Sanctuary of the King's Treasures. I'm hoping Ghost Gal gets a Skill like this eventually since she deserves it. It's crazy to think that the 2025 year is at an end though. I can't wait to see what 2026 has in store. Maybe 2026 is the year Altergeists get some new cards.

Let's discuss my deck a bit. With this deck, I had a 99% winrate for the climb, losing only to Shinobird, and going to King of Games in about 45 or 50 duels I want to say? I wasn't counting because most of my wins were from Goha Rush Festival, which I placed very highly in with Immi's Aqua Actress deck with an 85% winrate throughout. Anyways, for this iteration of the deck, I do want to point out that I did the bulk of my climb with anti-Skill (two Respect Play), but I paused the climb there to see the December 2025 banlist. After the banlist hit Respect Play, I promptly removed it for x2 Magic Deflector instead and the deck played just fine. The deck's core is standard Altergeist. Magic Deflector turning my field into a pseudo Altergeist Protocol will always be a good effect no matter the meta. Being able to negate Forbidden Droplet with Magic Deflector after they've already discarded is huge since Hexstia usually can't deal with that.

As for Discord, I'm playing that because I saw a LOT of Swordsoul during my climb and I hate facing that deck so much. I don't understand how the addition of one card in Swordsoul Sinister Sovereign Qixing Longyuan made everyone and their mother jump ship to Swordsoul, but that's how it is sometimes. I'd rather Discord be a dead card in duels where I don't need it than deal with the amount of harass that Swordsoul throws at me. The Eye of Truth is for anti-Skill. It's weird playing Altergeist with a card on the banlist given how much room this deck has.

My past five games this time around were consisted of Rescue Rabbit Call self FTK (Noah Kaiba), Predaprime Invasion Predaplant (Yuri), Destiny Draw: Vermillion Sparrow Floowandereeze (Shay Obsidian), Icejade Ripple Icejade (Serenity Wheeler), and my King of Games match Deck Master: Dark Magician Girl Magician Girls Dark Magician hybrid (Alternate Outfit Téa Gardner).
