Took a break from KOGing with Toons this season. Wanted to experiment with Yubel especially with Neos Fusion off the limit list.

First things first, this deck is fantastic, super fun to play. The amount of crazy interactions I encountered and different lines of play is insane and incredibly fun to navigate.

With the deck’s popularity, the mirror match is a major scenario to game plan. My techs for the mirror are 3x Chalice, 3x Wightprincess, 1x Neo-Spacian Grand Mole/Elemental Grand Neos, and 1x Lost Winds.

Ideally you want to open with Yubel and use the skill to bring out Incarnate Lvl 11, grab a Neos for a follow up play if lacking one, and set Chalice and Lost Winds or sit with Wightprincess in hand.

The reason for Incarnate instead of Knightmare is that your opponent needs to deal with it before building a board otherwise you will wipe the field at the end of your next turn. If they open up with Yubel as well, you can negate during the battle phase as needed or survive with Wightprincess.

The key with the mirror is to be patient and build up your resources while sitting on Incarnate until you clear their field and can go on a full board assault with Superpoly in hand waiting until they commit their Superpoly first.

Remember to use Chalice on their Yubel during the damage phase and Kluger if you need to to survive. Chalice or Lost Winds is key to break an opposing Knightmare.

Lost Winds has been an MVP as it is a permanent effect negate and 50% attack drop. Plus, it is possible to use it twice in a duel.

Wightprincess really came in clutch to avoid burn damage from opposing Knightmares/Kkugers/Wisemans in case you had to summon Neos Turn 1 sans Yubel. It is also useful against Lunalights and Crystal Wings.

I do not have much to say about Mole/Grand since I did not get to meaningfully utilize it during my ladder climb. However, it is a nice accessible option to out opposing Yubels/Klugers/Wisemans.
