ARC-V is my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! series and I enjoy playing its anime decks like Phantom Knight or Lunalight. I found new respect lately for Yugo as a character and I wanted to reach King of Games this season solely playing Speedroids, so I took up the challenge.

The road was not easy, as I needed many matches in Legend 1 to learn to play the deck properly against the meta. After learning to pilot the deck I went smoothly from Legend 1 to Legend 5, but then I had a massive losing streak one day that took me to Legend 2 in a matter of minutes.

Other times that this happened to me I would swicth decks and play something different, but this time I displayed a lot of resiliency and motivation and stood playing the deck to KoG. I kept playing and went again smoothly from Legend 2 to Legend 5, and kept grinding for a few hours after I got the 5 win streak to rank up.

With respect to the deck, I think that it's position in the meta is not good, but not bad. This is because of the match-ups it has against Yubel (I rarely lost a game against them) and against Tenyi (I rarely won a game against them). So in the end I tried to stop Tenyi using Ruddy Rose Dragon and praying that I went second every game against them, but did not work out well, honestly.

The deck will become better with the upgraded skill, so I am eager to try it again in ladder very soon. However, what I really hope is that people move away from playing Link Summon decks such as Tenyi, which Speedroids particularly struggles against.

Given that I really commited this time to the deck, that Yugo is a very cool character, that this is probably my first King of Games with a non-meta deck, and that today is my wedding aniversary, this might be my new favorite deck.
