Notes & Combos
Going first, we want the Close from the skill, but the Armor7 on the end board doesn't do much to disrupt, so we want to synchro with it.
The 2xBWAD version goes Boreastorm4+Nothung6=BWAD10, using the revive on a 2 tuner to go 1+7=BWD then 2+8=FullArmor10, to end on FullArmor BWD BWAD BWAD
(worlds turn 1 (not me): https://youtu.be/cGLBY9-rPME?t=17465)
Without owning a 2nd copy of BWAD, we want to end on Abyss to replace the BWAD#2 - reviving the 1 instead of a 2. Boreastorm4+Nothung6=FullArmor10 1+7=BWD -> revive 1 -> 1+8=Abyss9 to end on FullArmor BWD Abyss BWAD
The reason to leave a BWD on the board is it has 1+ Feather Counter(s) to negate an immediate spell, like a trapless Droplet. Relying on BWAD to pick up a counter will leave Squall bricked surprisingly often. e.g. Lava Golem sacs Abyss and BWAD. Ultimately I have concluded the simple power of BWD having Feather counter(s) is better than what I was doing (below).
Extra BWD. If using 2 BWDs to make our turn 1 board, then in order to get a BWD off Close you'd need an extra copy in the extra deck. You could consider cutting one of the non-6 Blackwing synchros (whichever you tend to use least). But sometimes Close doesn't make the dragon anyway; forgoing the extra BWD will give you more options going second.
Gale. The above combo does not need Gale. Gale is another way to use Armor7 to make something (3+7=10). The below is the board I was making, which has 2 Blackwings that survive BWAD's nuke, potentially enabling Twin Shadow = Treacherous Trap Hole. What I was doing: Boreastorm3+Armor7=FullArmor10 -> revive Boreastorm -> Boreastorm6+Nothung6=Onimaru12 (6000 ATK) 1+8=Abyss9 then cheat out BWAD
This strategy was still plenty powerful for a late season KoG.
btw Silverwind says "when" not "if" so Twin Shadow has to be Chain Link 1 or it will miss the timing.
