Notes & Combos
I took a break for a bit during the month, then did some scattered climbing, got up a rank in Legend per day and randomly decided to finish the climb on Aug 29. Didn't realize I was on rank-up, and beat Resonator EZ Clap.
Same list as last month, nothing too crazy.
Notable matchups: HERO, Sky Striker, Utopia, Ra, Despia
HERO Matchup is considered easy at this point. I just have this play around Super Poly (see below). When they know I'm playing around it, they seem to just not set it up, and then I'm fine.
Sky Striker is ridiculous, but if you catch them on one misplay and you get to grind, you get control back.
Utopia, if they don't play a one-tribute Kaiju, is simple enough. You need to book in response to the rank-up spell, and have an answer to Utopia Double. If you Eclipse them, win next turn or else... Lava Golem.
Ra took me a bit to figure out, but I just negate True Sun God's initial activation and they'll have trouble getting to Phoenix Mode.
Despia tends to be doable, unless I have to Eclipse them and they draw 2-3... then they draw Morningstar and I'm just dead. The main losses I would have to them are because of exactly that, and because some people are bad enough to play 3 Morningstar. "Brick me harder!! >_<"

Quick Tip to play around Super Poly or any deck that can instantly remove one monster on your field:
- Search Guru/Fiendess, whichever is missing.
- Skill set Final Battle.
- Fiendess effect to set herself and summon Guru face-down.
- Hidden City flip up, search Umastryx.
- Final Battle flip up Fiendess.
- Guru flip down himself and Fiendess to summon Umastryx, and then flip down Umastryx.
They will have a hard time OTKing through 3 monsters, hopefully, and Hidden City would trigger Umastryx. Flip up Guru if you need to negate Rainbow Neos.
